I-Locator is an intuitive web-based solution for presenting global location based data. I-Locator uses Flash technology to present data in the form of a map overlaid with global points of interest, providing users with straight-forward access to pertinent information.

Hovering the mouse over areas of the map gives the user an impression of the current international time, while clicking on designated points on the map causes details for that location to appear in a side-panel, which can in turn contain a link to further details.

I-Locator has been developed in Macromedia Flash 5 format and takes advantage of Flash 5 XML support to create a configurable solution unique to your enterprise. It takes co-ordinates and details contained in the XML file and uses an algorithm to convert these to geographical locations, which are accurately overlaid upon the world map. The configuration file itself can be easily edited by human or machine.

To ease configuration I-Locator comes with a web-based Content Management System (CMS), which provides a method for administrators to add, modify and delete global location data in a visual manner.

The CMS allows customers to configure and update the XML file in an intuitive way, with over 200 worldwide location details already built in. It only takes a matter of seconds to enter a new location, complete with details and links to web pages.

Your organisations choice of middleware can be used to extract data from sources such as corporate databases; this data can be easily converted to XML to create highly dynamic solutions that feed off live data.
